The options for the Boxes are found in
boxes-options.php. They were in
index-options.php until version 3.2.0 of the theme. The Boxes are displayed on the Main Index by default but can be included in to any template.
There are nine boxes arranged as three rows of three which can be independently hidden (the third row was added in 5.0.0 and the options for it are not shown above). Each box has a header with a coloured background and white text, and a matching coloured border around the box. These default to being in nine of the brand colours but can be individually configured to any of them. The text that appears in the header of each box does not default to anything useful so will certainly need configuring (except where widgets are used as any 'title' assigned by the first widget will also be the header). Any text you provide will be folded to upper case as per brand guidelines.
If the Boxes are being displayed on the Blog Posts Index Page, which they are by default as it is the same as the Front Page, a list of the titles of the latest five posts will be shown the first box in the top row as that is consistent with WordPress default behaviour. An option (not shown) allows the posts to be displayed in one of the other eight boxes by default, or indeed not at all. The theme can optionallly display a table of information about the logged in user along with a logout link, or a login link if no one has logged in. It is also possible to display additional HTML to be displayed for logged in and logged out users. This information can be displayed in any of the nine boxes and is independent of any widget used in the box.
