The following is a selection of the material found in the 1942 war diaries files (WO 166/6267 and WO 169/4138), courtesy of Glynn Brown. This includes the complete war diaries that are available. The diaries stop abruptly at the end of April even though the regiment did not embark on the S.S. Santa Elena on the Clyde until 31st May. The diaries do not resume until the 24th July when the regiment disembarked in Egypt.
