The following is a selection of the material found in the 1944 war diaries file (
WO 170/889), courtesy of
Glynn Brown. Glynn reports that the quality of the photocopies he was provided with was particularly poor with some sheets being almost totally black. The 105 sheets that were usable include the complete diaries themselves. The National Archives report that the file actually contains too many pages for them to reasonably count, which given they counted 775 for 1945 means it must be quite big, and so it must contain quite a bit of other material even if there are multiple copies of documents.
